Goodbye, Summer

This month I wanted to do a special Hounds in the Header to pay tribute to dear Lily and her beagle brother Wilson. Sadly, Lily was struck by a car and has left us to be at peace over the rainbow bridge. Wilson, we know you miss your sweet sister and best friend, as does the whole Etsy Beagles team. Summer is drawing to an end, but Lily will always be romping in the green grass and resting in the warm sun. I extend sympathies from the whole team to our dear team member Amanda of Beagle Beads, who I know misses Lily very much. I love this photo of Lily and Wilson, side by side in the beautiful green grass. Their peaceful reflective pose reminds us that seasons come and go, but our precious dogs will be always by our sides, and forever in our memories and our hearts.

It's Back To School Time! Meet Franklin, Our Studious Hound in the Header

Where did Summer go? Whether sending kids off to school again, sending our furbabies to obedience school, or both, it's back to school time! Our Hound in the Header this month is Franklin. He is quite prepared to study hard and go to the head of the class! Hmm, could he actually be a professor rather than a pupil? He certainly looks wise in his glasses! Franklin shares his home (and no doubt his vast knowledge) with our Beagles Team member PoshRe-Creations. Posh's Etsy shop has lovely OOAK reclaimed/repurposed furniture and home decor. Wow! Posh and Franklin are both so clever; first lesson is to check out this great shop! Extra credit is given to those who click on all our shop links! It's the best way to see the talents of the members of the Etsy Beagles Team! ;D

Meet Daphne, Our New Hound in the Header!

We wish we all could be California Dogs! ;) Since summer is the right time for being at the beach, we had our two California Boys last month. For our July/August hound in the header, we had to have a California Girl, and beautiful Daphne was the perfect choice! Daphne belongs to team member Sean, who owns CamargoCreations. This Etsy shop features handmade dresses, vests, collars and accessories for dogs and the people who love them. CamargoCreations is taking part in Etsy's "Christmas in July" sale, so visit his shop to see more great items (and more pictures of Daphne and her siblings)! New Team Challenge Soon!

The Etsy Beagles Team will be starting our summer team challenge very soon! The theme is "Lazy Days of Summer," and anything with a summertime design is eligible to enter! This is a team challenge, so only team members can post their entries. Remember, Beagles Team members, we ask that you participate in at least ONE team challenge per year to maintain your "pack member" status! Details about the challenge can be found in the Etsy Teams and Events forum, in the Beagles team chat thread. We plan on posting our challenge entries in the Etsy forums July 14 - 17. Meet Copper, June's Hound in the Header!

The adorable Springer Spaniel in our header is named Copper. He belongs to teammate AnnieK of AnnieKDesigns, AnnieKClothing, and CodysCloset. Cody is Copper's big brother, and he's shown in the photo in this post. Cody is part weimarainer and part black lab. We call him our team's "big black beagle!" Copper is all springer, and he looks so dapper in his lovely fleece dog coat made by his mom. I thought Copper (and Cody)were a great choice for June, because Father's Day is right around the corner, and hey, they're male dogs, and handsome ones and that!

Also right around the corner is our next team challenge! The theme is "Lazy Days of Summer" and the thread to post your challenge entry in will be in the Etsy Teams and Events Forum starting July 14th.
